Pierre Frey Group

Each of the company’s four brands reflects the purest French and Italian tradition in the production of fabric and related products.  Pierre Frey has successfully represented this centuries-old tradition since 1935.  The historic design house, Braquenié, was founded in 1824 and epitomises the spirit of French classicism.  Fadini Borghi adds an Italian touch to the collection.  While Fadini was established in 1947, Borghi was founded at the turn of the 19th century and was renowned for its Genoan velvets.  Boussac revolutionised the French fabrics world in 1933 and since then, has been using traditional techniques to produce fabrics and wallpaper that appeal to a more contemporary customer.

The Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label is a mark of recognition of the French Ministry of the Economy, Industry and Employment, awarded to French firms for the excellence of their traditional and industrial skills.  In 2009, this was awarded to Denimal SAS which, since 1961 has woven fabric for Pierre Frey.  Today, this company is actually owned by Pierre Frey and it continues to produce most of the luxury fabrics for the firm.  Quality is literally woven into Pierre Frey’s fabrics.
