Dominique Kieffer

This collection by DOMINIQUE KIEFFER is both extremely natural and sophisticated. The fabrics are all created using purely natural fibres, linen, silk, wool and cotton.

Linen - The Gros Carreux is one example of gingham in crinkled linen made in Japan. The grisaille grounds, finish and dyes of this linen fabric are similar to the fine eighteenth-century fabrics from Northern Europe and Russia.

Silk - Wild silk cocoons from the remote and parched areas of central India are used for weaving thick yarns of raw silk by hand.

Wool - Wool evokes the lush landscapes and vast green expanses of New Zealand, peopled with shepherds and their flocks or the cold and snowy mountains of Austria where the sheep are shorn each spring and the wool stored on farms for spinning and weaving.

Cotton – Piqué de Coton – a fabric whose high innovation lies in its lightness and warmth. This fabric is very suitable either for flowing curtains or to upholster a sofa in an array of warm earthy colours.
