MAYA ROMANOFF collections of wall coverings are highly innovative. The designers of these collections have combined traditional artistic techniques with processes which constantly respect the environment to create exceptional surfacing materials.
In the words of Maya Romanoff, “We try to utilize the earth’s natural resources to produce surfacing materials that are beautiful, durable and timeless.” His philosophy is to use uncommon materials to create uncommon art. His vision in wallcoverings is unsurpassed and use glass beads, precious metals, mother of pearl and wood veneers.
The genuine glass beads in Beadazzled™ interact with light to make any room or object sparkle. Completely handmade in the company’s studio, Beadazzled™ is flexible, durable.
Genuine metallic leaf is hand-applied using chopsticks to a special paper backing and preserved with a unique protective finish. Authentic gold, silver, copper, bronze, pewter and aluminum are available in contemporary and traditional leaf designs. These wallcoverings are luxurious, reliable and easy to install. One example is the Precious Metals Moiré.
An example of the wood veneers is Ajiro range, which uses genuine Pawlonia wood on a paper backing which is micro-thin and flexible. This material is so flexible it can wrap columns and even turn corners.
