ORIGINS
1916 marks the beginning of the long history that is ACQUA DI PARMA. Operating from the aristocratic town centre of Parma, skilled perfumiers created an unusually light, fresh and crisp fragrance. ACQUA DI PARMA Colonia proved to be very popular with icons such as Cary Grant and David Niven. In later years, ACQUA DI PARMA was selected by Audrey Hepburn as her ideal fragrance.
EVOLUTION
In 1993, Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, President of Ferrari, Diego Della Valle, owner of Tod’s Spa and Paolo Borgomanero, shareholder of the La Perla Group, joined forces to launch ACQUA DI PARMA s.r.l. Three entrepreneurs of the Italian luxury products industry decided to prevent a small, stately, very high quality historic brand from being obscured by an invasion of designer brands and passing fashions.
In 1998, the first ACQUA DI PARMA boutique was opened in Via del Gesu’ in Milan, close to some of the biggest names in haute couture and prêt-á-porter.
TODAY
In 2003, LVMH purchased the company and ACQUA DI PARMA continues to express its core values of beauty, craftsmanship and perfection in every new collections which reflect Italian taste and elegance.
In Malta, the ACQUA DI PARMA range of products is available exclusively at camilleriparismode, Annunciation Square, Sliema, Rebelli in Portomaso and Puer in Tigné, Sliema.
