In 1890, Paolo Camilleri set up a firm 'A La Ville de Lyon' trading in fine garment fabrics and related goods, in St. John’s Square in Valletta. Some 40 years later, one of his sons, Carmelo opened a new outlet in Merchants’ Street, Valletta. The name of this outlet was Camilleri Paris Mode, a name which strongly outlined the main line of the business at the time - Parisian fashion and trends.
Today, the original camilleriparismode outlet in the capital city Valletta offers garment and wedding gown fabrics as well as dressmaking facilities by highly experienced seamstresses.
