PEUGEOT of France created the pepper grinder in 1842 and after over 160 years of manufacturing pepper mills and coffee grinders, the PEUGEOT brand is still a point of reference for most famous chefs. The patented design of the grinding mechanism was created by a company engineer for the first PEUGEOT pepper mills and is still in use today, virtually unchanged. Often copied, but never equaled, the mechanism is made of case hardened steel and is designed to crack the peppercorns before the actual fine grinding process.

With a vast selection of mills to suit each requirement, one such brand is the Elis collection which offers six pre-selections for pepper and three for salt. This allows for the fineness of the grind to be selected precisely. One also finds electric mills in acrylic, steel or wood with either a classical finish or one which is lacquered.

PEUGEOT’s nutmeg grinders are as practical as they are stylish. The mills store extra nutmeg for future use. With both a blade and a grater, the nutmeg can be very finely grated. It is perfect for desserts and many types of ethnic food. There is no comparison to freshly grated nutmeg.

Who can resist the aroma of freshly ground coffee? Grind your roasted coffee beans with a PEUGEOT coffee mill that features a burr grinder mechanism that carries a lifetime warranty and can be adjusted for a fine to course grind by turning the top crank handle.
